The views from my room were absolutely stunning, overlooking the beautiful valleys that surround the area. Breakfast was a delightful spread of homemade cakes and local specialties that set the perfect tone for each day. The family-run touch made me feel right at home with personal service from the lovely owners.

The hotel offers a fantastic location near all the sights and has a charming, medieval-like atmosphere. While the towels could use an upgrade, the clean and comfortable rooms, coupled with friendly service, made for an enjoyable stay. The restaurant had superb food options too.

The church bells are maddening at night!!! The bathrooms are cramped. a little more space would make a huge difference!!!

The notable architecture impresses with its historical charm, giving you a real taste of the locale. The access to the central area means you're just steps away from the delightful boutiques and wine shops that Montalcino offers.

Parking can be a hassle. unloading luggage at the hotel proves tricky since the owners take your car to a remote spot. The small bathroom setup lacks a shower enclosure, leading to slippery floors by the end of a shower, and the double room could benefit from a little modernization for the price. Breakfast service can be inconsistent—cold scrambled eggs were available, and getting coffee was a challenge the first morning. It’s an old building with creaky floors, so expect some noise when you're moving around.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The breakfast was generous and delicious, with an incredible selection of pastries, and the views from our room were breathtaking. Dining at the restaurant was a highlight, especially the house-made lasagna.

We had an unforgettable meal in their restaurant, the chef really knows how to bring out the flavors! ! The local ingredients were fresh, and the presentation was incredible, a true work of art on the plate.

It wasn’t cheap, but believe me, totally worth it.

Albergo Il Giglio features beautiful old architecture with stunning views of Montalcino. The welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff made my stay delightful, and I found it very accessible as a senior, enjoying every moment of my visit.
